The climate crisis is making us sick

While that set off alarm bells across public health agencies, it came as no surprise to scientists who study the intersection of the climate crisis and infectious disease. Instead, it came as a sign of things to come. Research is making it increasingly clear that as the planet warms, the geography of disease is shifting and the opening in which disease-spreading organisms, known as vectors, can infect people is getting wider each year.
