How should we restore mangroves in Asia and the Pacific?

But what happens when the wrong species are planted in unsuitable places? When tidal flows have been blocked? When funding runs out before restoration can take hold? Or when local communities are brought in to carry out the work but have little say in how the project is designed or managed?
