AICCRA session at Africa Climate Summit 2

Ermias Betemariam, a land health scientist at CIFOR-ICRAF, joined this side event, which focused on equipping smallholder farmers with actionable climate information to reduce risks, improve yields, and adapt effectively to climate shocks. The interactive dialogue highlighted the expansion of digital advisory services for smallholder farmers across the IGAD region.

The discussion emphasized how DACAS contributes to system transformation by promoting policy coherence vertically—across subnational, national, regional, and continental levels—and horizontally among ministries of agriculture, environment, soil, and climate.
