Landscape Alliance team visits RTRP-Seed project activities in the Somali Region of Ethiopia

On 18–20 August 2026, Landscape Alliance Ethiopia staff visited the Right Tree in the Right Place for the Right Purpose (RTRP-Seed) project activities in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. They also organized a seminar where they reported on the progress to date and discussed the project’s activities and plans with staff from the Somali Region Environmental Protection and Rural Land Administration Bureau (EPRLAB) and other regional stakeholders. The Provision of Adequate Tree Seed Portfolios project (PATSPO III) team – including Senior Team Leader Soren Moestrup, Research Project Coordinator Wubalem Tadesse, Tree Improvement Officer Girma Eshete and Ethiopia Country Representative Niguse Hagazi – visited the seedling seed orchards (SSOs) established by the RTRP-Seed project in two different sites, both 70 kilometers from Jigjiga, the capital of the Somali Region.
